Hi, my name is Julia and I am an illustrator.

When I was a kid my dad used to read stories to me every night (Like every single night. No exceptions allowed. I was very adamant about that.) One night he pulled out an old copy of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytales that used to belong to my mom. The book was so beautifully illustrated that I would sit for hours and obsessively stare at the pictures until I had memorized every little detail.

Since the first time I held that book in my hands I knew I wanted to become an illustrator. I was maybe 5 or 6 then. And I haven't changed my mind ever since.

Thanks to Andersen I also developed a morbid fascination for sad stories, the sea and a general lack of happy endings. But that is a whole different chapter.

In 2016 I graduaded from HS Mainz with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.

I am currently working on my Master's degree with focus on illustration, text and editorial design.

I live near Frankfurt with my personal assistant Señor Puck who also happens to be my dog.
